For instance, president Donald Trump attempted to use an executive order in the early days of his administration to ban travel from seven countries. Barack Obama attempted to use an executive order to implement Deferred Action of Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) which would have allowed millions of undocumented immigrants to gain work authorization.
